Here's a small but fine lot from an officer of the Army staff Sublocotenent Manolescu.

No.1 Portrait in M1923 uniform dated 18.11.1927 on the back. Is it an Observer badge (1914-1927 model) he wears?

Here's a small but fine lot from an officer of the Army staff Sublocotenent Manolescu.

On the back writes Maior (Major), although it is not very clear from the photo.

No.1 Portrait in M1923 uniform dated 18.11.1927 on the back. Is it an Observer badge (1914-1927 model) he wears?

yes

Dedication on the backside.

Souvenir from Major Manolescu/ 1927.IX.19. Bucharest

No.2 Bridal photo in parade (?) uniform dated 20.11.1927 on the backside. If I'm right assuming he wears parade uniform (note shoulder belt) why he wears shoulder straps but not epaulettes?

parade uniform, this are the M1912 epaulets

Dedication on the backside of the bridal photo.

20 Noiembrie 1927/ Drăgăstoasă amintire din partea noastră/ Constanța și Maior H. G. Manolescu/ D-nei și D-lui Traian G. Manolescu
20 November 1927/ Loving memory of our side/ Constanța and Maior H. G. Manolescu/ Mrs. and Mr. Traian G. Manolescu (his brother)

No. 3 This photo is dated August 17, 1920 on the back. What type of uniform he wears? Please note enormously big tunic buttons. What was his rank back in 1920?

I am not shore but it can be M1917 uniform, rank Sublocotenent or Locotenent

No.4 Afternoon rest :21: Is it a fragment of an Observer badge?

cant see it, possibly

No.6 The final photo of this lot. Is it M1934 uniform and why there are no shoulder straps?

M1934, I am also not shore why sometimes Air Force personnel do not wears epaulets or shoulder straps

What is this badge he proudly sports here?

Just one quick question - in the 1 and 4 photos Manolescu wears service uniform M1923 while on 2 and 5 - parade uniform M1923, i.e. both types of uniform are M1923?

It is possible that one of the uniforms is M1923 and the other one is M1926, but I can not tell witch is witch.

At the same time there's a slight difference between uniform in photos 2 and 5 - on the former we see a shoulder belt while on the latter same collar patches but no belt.

In my opinion the photos are made same day, in no.5 he just removed the belt for more comfort during the wedding party.

Mircea, could you please ask reenactors regarding models of those uniforms?

I still wait answer to the other two questions, until now nothing.
